Yiu Chung Hong

Yiu Chung Hong, affectionately known as "Chicken", though the origin of that nickname remains a mystery to me, is the farrier in one of the racing yards I service at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. I have had the privilege of working alongside him for seven years, day in and day out, preparing horses for racing. As an equine physiotherapist, I know you’re only as effective as your farrier’s ability to balance the hoof capsule. I am deeply grateful for his skill, dedication, and positive presence every single day.
