Gavin Moody started his career in farriery in 1994, working as apprentice to the world-renowned Simon Curtis and brother Mark Curtis at O.A. Curtis & Sons in Newmarket, England – the home of horseracing. He became a qualified farrier in 1999. During his successful career, he has built a reputation for the quality of his workmanship and innovative approach to shoeing horses, especially remedial shoeing. He has also worked overseas, including Japan, France, Ireland, Dubai and Turkey. He earned his Fellowship with the Worshipful Company of Farriers in 2025.
