Wyoming farrier Bruce Jorgensen passed away. He was 78.
He apprenticed in saddlery and leather work with Bob Schilds in Blackfoot, Idaho, eventually owning his own saddle shop. He made quality leather goods and saddles undre the name Saddle Horn Leather. He attended Central Wyoming College and became a certified farrier.
Jorgensen was a lifelong accomplished cowboy and worked as a ranch foreman with Anschutz Cattle Company. He managed many ranches, including Skull Valley, Castle Rock, Antelope Island, Utah, and Bear River and Medicine Bow, Wyoming. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and passed his interests and hobbies on for generations.
Jorgensen is survived by five sons, a sister, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many family and friends. A celebration of life will be held August 29, 2026 at Lyman Heritage Barn in Lyman, Wyoming.
