Talli Else

Talli Else Farriers Week

Let’s just cut to the chase. You won’t find another farrier whose heart is as big as her strength. Talli Else is an amazing human, besides being an incredible farrier.

The only time I’ve ever seen Talli worked up is right before she’s flying towards the barrels at a race! And once in a while when hazing her husband. The nervousness she endures watching her son ride saddle broncs doesn’t count because that’s just a mom thing. This woman is busy! Besides rodeoing, she helps run the family trucking company. They also raise cattle, and she runs to school sports with both kids. Yet, somehow, she has a fully booked clientele that would be lost without her.

Did I mention she’s amazing? She’ll trim 10 horses in a day, then go home to cut or bale hay. Or stop by a friend’s to help sheer a sheep that got missed. Oh, and that rescue pony that had ram horns for hooves that she skillfully sawed off. If she’s driving by and knows it’s time for him to get trimmed, she just hikes out into the pasture and gets him done! Always with a smile and always concerned for the well-being of her clients and horses.

This woman rodeos. Ranches. Will ride the rank out of your horse. Will wrestle your mini donkey. She’s had wrecks. She’s been pinned by a tractor. And more. Yet, she doesn’t complain, and she shows up! She would give you the shirt off her back and her last dollar and never expect either back. When the Lord made Talli, he broke that mold. You don’t find people like her anymore. She’s a multi-talented woman, who, thankfully for her group of clients, cares about the health of our horses. And always keeps them strong and sound. Truly a gem in the world of farriers. And we are so thankful to have her.
