What started out as a happenstance meeting at our barn as new owners of 2 mares needing some TLC quickly turned into a fast and long-lasting friendship with our farrier/friend, José. Not just because of his robust knowledge, care, and impressive farrier skills, but more so because of his character and genuine love and care for the horses. We call him the horse whisperer as his calm demeanor is rooted in everything he does, sprinkled with humor and a positive attitude and outlook. He goes beyond caring for the horses feet and has led us through multiple lessons and trail rides to help us develop a lifelong bond with our girls. The fact we only trust him with our Zoe and Fireball, to the point of leaving them to José in our will, pretty much says it all and how grateful we are to have him as the best traditional farrier and friend.

José has been using his vast knowledge to keep my 2 horses' hooves in tip top shape for quite a few years now. He’s definitely a class act and a master of his craft. He shares his wealth of information with me on how my horses' individual needs vary and how he addresses their needs as he works on them. He’s fun with his dry sharp wit and keeps everything upbeat while getting the job done. It’s always a pleasure to see his work, and I trust his suggestions and the care he gives to my horses while working on them. He is a true professional.
