The World Championship Blacksmiths 2025 event at Spruce Meadows in Alberta concluded on Sunday, September 6.

After fierce rounds of competition, British farrier Steven Beane took home the title of 2025 world champion. This marks his sixth world championship and comes with a grand prize of $75,000. Previously, Beane was crowned the world champion in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014.

In second place is Tonasket, Wash., farrier Troy Wood, third place Stan Mullen of Lexington, Ky., fourth place Mathieu Delcroix of France and fifth place Matt Findler of Canada.

According to the World Championship Blacksmiths, 50 competitors came from 11 countries to compete for nearly $200,000 in prize money. Watch the moment they announced the top five here and the award ceremony here.
