Stephen Struewing is a farrier of 25+ years and a graduate out of Kentucky Horseshoeing School. Struewing is known by his clients for his energy and passion to serve the horse. Along with shoeing services, Stephen also offers training for correcting behavioral issues, training for the horse and rider in clinics and individual sessions, starting multiple breeds under saddle, conditioning, and horse hauling. He is always encouraging questions from his mentees and clients who are striving to understand their horses' hoof health. He takes the time to educate others and be an advocate for the horse, yet remains humble and open minded to continue learning himself. Stephen separates himself in the industry not only with his meticulous shoe jobs, but by using his skill and experience in horsemanship to transform the demeanor in horses previously considered unmanageable and problematic for hoof care. A main lesson you will learn from working with Stephen is to consider all variables and the long-term effect we have on the horse when making hoof care decisions. By leaving clients more informed and analyzing his work over several cycles, Stephen is a treasured asset for the industry to promote sustainable hoof care and a healthy, enjoyable relationship with the horse.
