Kirkland, Ariz., farrier and rancher John Berkshire Glimpse II passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. He was 71.
Glimpse spent much of his impressionable years fostering his love of horses in the mid-1960s at the Castle Rock and other stables in Phoenix. After graduating high school, Glimpse served as a farrier in the United States Cavalry at Fort Carson, Colo., and went to Vietnam in 1968. After returning, he worked at ranches such as Chauncey Ranch in Scottsdale, the Gold Bar and Carter Ranches in Kirkland.
