Katie Panos, member of the American Farrier’s Association Research Committee, will host a clinic Sept. 22-23, 2017, in New Lennox, Ill.

A first of its kind, the clinic will focus on how to perform proper studies in order to help farriers apply for AFA research grants in the fall. It will be lead by Panos, a Lansing, Mich., farrier, and Crete, Ill., farrier Alan Dryg, taking place in conjunction with the Illinois certification that will occur simultaneously.

The clinic will cover the scientific method, basic study design, getting the most of existing literature, a brief introduction to statistics and analysis and a small experiment.

RSVPs are requested in order to run the experiment. For more information and to RSVP, contact Katie Panos at kegagne89@gmail.com.
