The American Farrier’s Association (AFA) is pleased to announce that Dechra Veterinary Products (creator of Osphos clodronate injection) has renewed its sponsorship for a second year for a series of five free regional hoof-care clinics geared toward farriers and veterinarians.
“We are delighted that Dechra Veterinary Products has committed to working with us for another year in presenting these quality clinics to all interested farriers and veterinarians at no charge,” says Beth Daniels, AFA executive director. “Attendees at the clinics held between September 2017 and April 2018 were very enthusiastic in their comments on the quality of the presentations and live shoeing demonstrations.
“The veterinarians who represented Osphos at our clinics provided tremendous added educational value for attendees. Farriers are on the front line of working with horses that have developed equine navicular syndrome and it is important that they are familiar with treatment options.
“Treatment with Osphos has proven to be clinically effective, as well as straightforward to administer,” Daniels concludes. “As such, it has been of significant benefit to horse owners and their beloved equines.”
