Each year, six American farriers are selected to repre­sent their country in forging competitions around the world. The 2016 team will have an element that it never has had before.

History was made in March during the 2016 American Farrier’s Assn. (AFA) Convention in Mobile, Ala., when Craig and Bodie Trnka became the first father and son to be named to the same American Farriers Team.

The Edgewood, N.M., farriers are joined by Tim Mc­Phee of Epping, N.H.; Jeremy Scudder of Maryland, N.Y.; Chad Chance of Pilot Point, Texas; and Andrew Wells of Auburn, Ala.

The following people were elected or assumed offices during the convention, held in early March in Mobile, Ala.:
