Newark, Ohio, farrier Ann Miltimore passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, after battling lung cancer. She was 52.

A graduate of Meredith Manor Equine College with a degree in equine sciences, Miltimore was a certified farrier with 30 years of experience. She was a member of the United States Dressage Federation, receiving a bronze medal in 2011. She was also a member of the Ohio Dressage Society, Mid-Ohio Dressage Association, Licking County Horse & Pony Council, and was actively involved with the Licking County 4-H Programs.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at Reed-Egan Funeral Home in Newark. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.

“Please dress casual and bring Coke and Reese’s — two of my Mom’s favorite things — to celebrate her life,” says Jessica Miltimore, Ann’s daughter. “Please keep my family in your prayers.”

In lieu of flowers, Miltimore's family requests that memorials be made to the Mid-Ohio Dressage Association, 6008 Brigids Close Dr., Dublin, Ohio 43017.
