Clarksville, Tenn., farrier James Ira Hamilton Sr. passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, after an extended illness. He was 78.
Hamilton had an extensive career as a farrier and trainer of Tennessee Walking Horses and was a respected long-standing member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association. He owned and operated a paint and body business in Montgomery, Ala., for 25 years and enjoyed doing restorative work on classic cars.
Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, in Oak Hill Cemetery in Prattville, Ala. Condolences may be expressed at Neal-Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home.
