Texas farrier Robert Dee Conyers passed away Jan. 5, 2026. He was 61.

Conyers was a graduate of Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School, team roper, horse trainer and farrier.

"He never met a stranger," says Conyers obituary. "He would give you the last dollar he had or the shirt off his back to anyone that was in need. Robert Dee loved kids, horses and all that went with the cowboy way of life. Horses were his passion, but his true love was his girls and his grandson."
