Less Than Half of Owners Enter Competitions with Their Horses

Nearly 40% of owners do not compete with their horses. Among owners that compete, the number of yearly competitions averaged eight.

In general, the number of various types of equine competitions increases with a boost in income, yet decreases as horse owners tend to grow older.

Nearly Half of Part-Timer Shoers Drop Out of National Footcare Groups

Whether it’s a lack of interest in obtaining more footcare education or not feeling the expense is worthwhile, some 31% of part-time farriers end up dropping their memberships in national footcare groups.

At the same time, only 14% of part-time farriers let their memberships drop in local farrier groups.
