Carencro, La., farrier Stanley Batiste Sr. passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. He was 90.
Batiste was born and raised in Carencro. He began working as a farrier at age 15 and continued until his retirement at 80. He loved harness racing, telling stories and being with his family.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro, La.
