Mason, Mich., farrier Jim Cloutier passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, in Lansing. He was 63.
Cloutier served in the U.S. Army and is a Michigan State University graduate. He worked as a farrier in the greater Lansing area for more than 30 years, including as Michigan State’s resident farrier.
A memorial potluck reception will be at noon Saturday, Jan. 14 at Riverview Church, 3585 Willoughby Rd., Holt. Friends are invited and welcome to bring a dish to pass.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Cloutier’s name to the North Country Trail Association or to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
