White Cloud, Mich., farrier Rodny “Rod” Wayne Penland passed away April 24, 2025. He was 78.
Penland was best known for his farrier work and breaking young colts and problem horses. After working at Lakey Foundry, in food service and as a teacher, Penland returned to his farrier work. HIs cherished his family and is survived by his wife, two sons, three grandsons and numerous family and friends.
