Forge Two Shoes And You’ll Earn $402 Of Valuable Farrier Supplies!

Mail in these two shoes and win a share of anywhere from $30,316 (with 50 entrants) to $50,466 (with 100 entrants) of valuable products donated by suppliers for this forging exercise

It's not a shoemaking contest or a traditional shoeing competition for elite shoers. Instead, we’re repeating a super educational opportunity that will allow you to see how your forging skills measure up against other farriers from around the world.

Based on the shoe drawings found on page 28, all you have to do is forge a diagonal weighted bar shoe and a hind trotter shoe in your own farrier shop as part of this highly educational exercise. After forging these shoes, mail them to arrive before June 30 in western Canada where they will be evaluated in an exciting mail-in contest that’s co-sponsored by the Calgary Stampede’s World Champion Blacksmiths’ Competition and American Farriers Journal.

Besides helping you develop new forging skills, participating in this event means more than a dozen top-notch products (a value of $402 for each entrant) will arrive on your doorstep next summer. Top finishers will also earn a variety of super products donated by leading farrier industry suppliers.

Only One Rule

What’s unique about this mail-in forging exercise is that there’s only one rule: All that’s required for you to participate is to make the two shoes from the drawings found on page 28 of this issue.

Unlike traditional shoeing contests, there’s:

  • NO time restriction for making these two shoes other than the June 30 deadline.
  • NO limit on how many times you can forge these shoes to make the best ones you are capable of making.
  • NO rules against asking others for help.
  • NO…
