Montana farrier Tyler Meeks passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016, at his Shelburne Falls, Mass, home.
Meeks attended the Montana State University farrier school in Bozeman. After a brain tumor was discovered and surgery in 2014, Meeks and his fiancée Libby moved east for treatment at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, whose expert doctors helped him fight it for more than 2 years. Amidst treatment in June 2014 Meeks and Libby were married. After two major surgeries and 2 years of illness, Meeks passed away.
A memorial celebration of Meeks’ life and a luncheon will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28 at the Highwood Community Hall.
