At this past week’s American Horse Publications (AHP) annual seminar in Charleston, S.C., American Farriers Journal Executive Editor Jeremy McGovern was elected to the AHP’s Board of Directors. The AHP is a non-profit association for the equine publishing media industry. Its members include equine-related print publications, digital media, professionals, students, organizations and businesses.

"It is a tremendous honor to be elected to the AHP board,” McGovern says. “The AHP has been incredibly helpful for me as a member, I look forward to paying it back in a small way as a member of its board.”

He begins a 3-year term on the board and will join the other board members and executive team in continuing the group’s mission to serve its membership and promote equine publishing.

Also during this meeting, Technical Editor Red Renchin won an honorable mention for his March 2013 article “Matty Spinelli: Farrier With A Hammer Hand.”
