Among full-time farriers, 92% routinely handle the footcare needs of some backyard horses while 80% work with trail and recreational horses. Surprisingly, 75% deal with at least a few miniature horses.

Among part-time farriers, 97% work with backyard horses while 62% work regularly with trail and recreational horses.

What Percentage of Clients Seek Nutritional Advice?

Only 25% of farriers indicate half or more of their clients ask for nutritional ideas.

Some 40% of farriers say less than one-quarter of clients ask for nutritional recommendations, while 36% provide nutritional guidelines to one-quarter to one-half of clients.
