Strawberry Plains, Tenn., farrier James Bowling Allen passed away Dec. 30, 2018. He was 84.
Allen loved horses, and he spent many years as a practicing farrier and blacksmith in the Southeastern U.S. He also enjoyed training and showing horses.
A reception will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 4, 2019, at Lyons Creek Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2019, at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
