The Iowa Professional Farriers Association will conduct its annual Spring Clinic and Competition on March 25-26 at Iowa State University.

In addition, the 3rd annual Vet / Farrier Classic will be held with one vet, one farrier per team. Each team will receive a cadavar limb with a diagnosis and the team will trim and shoe the foot with the appropriate handmade shoe of their choosing. The veterinarian must punch and pritchel all nails holes and clinch after the shoe is applied.

This year's competition judge will be Richard Becker. Jennifer DePollo Horn will be assisting Dick in the conducting of the competiton. The open class is also a warm up for Madison.
