The Derby City Horseshoeing Association will holds its winter clinic Feb. 25, 2023, in Shelbyville, Ky. The clinicians will be Travis Burns, CJF (TE, EE), AWCF; and Mike Poe, CJF, AWCF.
Burns will discuss modern material applications for treatment of daily pathologies and how to assess and interpret radiographs. He will bring case studies to use in an open forum.
Poe will discuss everyday trimming and forging techniques to improve efficiency and hot to better compliment the hoof capsule.
There will be a live horse assessment with before and after radiographs provided by Cage Cruise, DVM.
Registration will be at 8 a.m. Feb. 25. The cost is $75. The clinic is hosted and sponsored by Farrier Product Distribution.
