Event Description
The Derby City Horseshoeing Association will holds its winter clinic Feb. 25, 2023, in Shelbyville, Ky. The clinicians will be Travis Burns, CJF (TE, EE), AWCF; and Mike Poe, CJF, AWCF.
- Burns will discuss modern material applications for treatment of daily pathologies and how to assess and interpret radiographs. He will bring case studies to use in an open forum.
- Poe will discuss everyday trimming and forging techniques to improve efficiency and hot to better compliment the hoof capsule.
- There will be a live horse assessment with before and after radiographs provided by Cage Cruise, DVM.
Registration will be at 8 a.m. Feb. 25. The cost is $75. The clinic is hosted and sponsored by Farrier Product Distribution.
