Dataw Island, S.C., farrier Frederick Robert Klotz passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 29, 2017. He was 71.
Klotz began his lifelong career as a farrier after serving in the U.S. Army from 1965-68. He was a graduate of Golden Leaf Farrier College in Sturgis, S.D. He was also president of the Penn Jersey Horse Show Association.
Interment took place July 7, 2017, at the National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Organization, the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
