The Clemson University Equine Center will hold the Master Equine Certification course July 27-28.
The course will cover topics including and related to equine welfare, nutrition and health, in addition to farm management and practical horse skills for owners. Cassie Wycoff, an area livestock and forages agent created the course as part of her plan to develop “a statewide adult equine program,” according to a press release by Clemson University.
“This course provides both classroom and hands-on, practical horse management techniques, essential for anyone who is a horse owner, stable manager, farm employee, groom or looking to expand their horse knowledge,” says Wycoff.
Wycoff says that the course will provide “many hands-on opportunities, as well as classroom instruction.”
The Master Equine Manager Certification course will take place at the Clemson University Equine Center, 815 West Queen St., Pendleton, SC 29670. The cost will be $150.
