A European race nail is coming to North America with Delta Mustad Hoofcare Center’s introduction of the HammerHead.

“The revolutionary HammerHead race nail was first launched in Europe with great success,” says Remco van der Linden, Delta Mustard’s director of sales and marking, “and due to overwhelming farrier requests, we have decided to make it available to customers in North America.”

The HammerHead nail is versatile and fits into all creased race shoes that are punched for City Head and E nails, according to a press release from Delta Mustad.

“The new HammerHead nail features a wide rectangular head which provides a perfect lock in the crease, distinct head design for pitch and a sharp precision point to ensure a consistent drive,” van der Linden says. “The neck and head design, combined with the pitch, provides a secure fit preventing shoe movement and therefore limiting hoof wall displacement.”
