Thank You, Farriers

Our dedication to your dedication

For the past few months, we have been asking the worldwide equine community to share their stories, pictures and videos with us for the 18th annual National Farriers Week celebration this year from July 10 to 16. We received many submissions over the past several months, and here you will find just a handful of the farrier tributes sent to us during that time.

At American Farriers Journal, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to farriers everywhere for all you do. From our personal experiences with you, to those we read about, you are truly a remarkable group of professionals. Thank you!

“Our farrier, Jessica Zierner, is an advocate for every horse that she works with, which is the main reason I love her.”

— Beth Stark, Hana, Hawaii

Luke Farmer shows up, gets the job done, and always has a smile on his face. Most of all he has an amazing rapport with our horses, and we love him for that!”

— Laura Garnett, Atikokan, Ont., Canada

Justin Green encouraged me to get better in the forge, and better at trimming and shoeing. Because of that my business has been successful.”

— Jason Merkley, Ridgway, Colo.

2016 Farriers Spotlight

Since we cannot possibly fit every picture and story in print, we have a special web-exclusive feature called the “Farriers Spotlight” in which you will find all of the submissions we have received in honor of National Farriers Week. They will be available starting July…
