Featuring a half dozen educators and 12 hours of conference sessions, the Online Farrier and Hoofcare Conference will help you pick up plenty of new ideas via the Internet without leaving home later on this fall. The three-day online conference will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) on Friday, Nov. 29, Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1.
Baron Taylor of the Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center in Lebanon, Pa., says this online Internet conference offers an early registration fee of $150 per person compared to a $200 regular fee. Participants will be able to listen to and view the presentations and ask questions via the Internet. They will also receive both a DVD and VHS format record of the sessions provided by conference co-sponsors Thoro’Bred Racing Plate Co., Inc., and Horse Trax Impact Reduction System Corp.

“Fundamental Financial Formulas For Farriers” — Rick Wunsch, a Certified Public Accountant with experience working with farriers from Trempealeau, Wis.
“Successfully Managing The Laminitic Horse” — Matt Frederick, a farrier from Napa, Calif.
“Essential Hoof Care — Improving Performance And Preventing Lameness Through Natural Guidelines” — Gene Ovnicek, a farrier from Penrose, Colo.
