Grant Moon, the Hall Of Fame Farrier and six-time World Champion Blacksmith will join our Friday panel on comparisons of European and North American Shoeing of the Sport Horse. This Jan. 31 panel discussion will also feature Dave Farley of Coshocton, Ohio; Ronald Aalders of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Steve Teichman of Unionville, Pa.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, beginning at 1:15 p.m., the International Hoof-Care Summit will hold five How-To Product Knowledge Classrooms.

Grant Moon also will present here with his lecture "Shoeing the Sport Horse: Back to the Basics." This 20-minute lecture will be held three times.

You'll also find several networking opportunities in the hallways, Trade Show and other events during the IHCS. You can meet up with Moon and other farriers to compare notes and share ideas.

Delta Mustad Hoofcare Center is also hosting a Hospitality Night during the Summit. This night has been designed as a gift in appreciation for farriers, customers and friends for the continued support of their brands and for sharing our passion in the celebration of horses’ hooves.

"We hope that you can join us on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Hilton for food and a fun-filled night of entertainment planned especially for you!"

Free Hand-On Clinic for IHCS Attendees

People come to the International Hoof-Care Summit for various reasons: networking, see the latest research and gain practical advice, among others. Farriers also love hands-on practice with footcare products. For the second consecutive year, we've teamed up with Vettec to host a clinic on better use of Vettec  products. Because the demand was so high at the 2013 IHCS, we're holding two sessions on Tuesday, January 28.

Vettec will set up multiple stations, allowing participants to practice on cadaver feet or on a Blacksmith Buddy device.

The first session is from 9 am to 10:30 am, and the other is from 10:45 am to noon.

You can register here. But don't wait; each session is limited to 50 attendees. You also have to attend the IHCS to take part in this

There's a lot more to learn than just grabbing a dispensing gun and cartridge, and pulling the trigger. Watch this video to see what more you can gain by attending one of these sessions.
