Marleen Ruth Schantz, the wife of Horseshoeing Hall of Famer Bob Schantz, passed away Saturday after a long illness.
As co-owner of Spanish Lake Blacksmith shop in Foristell, Mo., Marleen provided horseshoeing supplies and an understanding shoulder to hundreds of horseshoers throughout the St. Louis area and beyond.
A celebration of Marleen's life will be held on a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
