Brett Keirstead has been named the new chief revenue officer (CRO) at GlobalVetLINK (GVL), an animal software company. In Ames, Iowa, he will oversee sales, marketing and customer service success teams, according to GVL.

Founded in 2001, GVL provides a web-based software platform for food and companion animal health practitioners to aid in managing their practices. Software includes Veterinary Feed Directives, Certificates of Veterinary Inspection, veterinary prescriptions, as well as veterinary diagnostic results and analysis.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cliff Smith touches on the changing times of the animal health industry and how it is adopting a more online and mobile technology. This makes it a good time to bring in a CRO.

“With Brett’s extensive experience in leading successful go-to-market SaaS (software as a service) teams, he is an asset to the team in the role of CRO,” says Smith.

Keirstead has a solid history in managing sales and marketing teams in various technology and payroll organizations for more than 20 years. Keirstead has served as a vice president (VP) of client acquisition for Avionte, VP of sales and marketing for Knowledge Marketing and VP of sales for Jobs2Web/Success Factors.

“I am excited to work with the passionate folks at GVL to help lead expansion and continue providing clients with innovative animal wellness and safety solutions,” Keirstead says. “GVL has developed and nurtured a close relationship with the animal health industry and our mission will be to strengthen our support for years to come.”
