Waylon Goodwin

Mr. Goodwin is from Moody, Texas, and serves clients in Bell, Coryell, McLennan and surrounding counties.

I feel Mr. Goodwin's most memorable accomplishment is actually replacing a damaged hoof on a horse that he personally owned. His family had driven miles and miles to acquire this horse, a Cremello, and had only had it a short time when a terrifying barn accident virtually severed the horse's entire hoof. Working diligently and painstakingly, he repaired the hoof using fiberglass and resin, and the horse is now, at least, breeding sound and pain-free.

By taking the chance and using his expertise, Mr. Goodwin was able to begin the process that may one day result in an effective prosthesis (if you will) for horses everywhere. He felt it was worth a try to save this horse — a horse he owned — to possibly make a difference in the life of someone else.
