Jamie Simpson (New Brunswick)

One of my biggest challenges when I started my equine sanctuary was getting everyone trimmed. And then I learned about laminitis. Two of my ponies were suffering. I attended No Laminitis conferences, tried holistic vets, called anyone and everyone. Farriers and vets came and went with the same protocols. I was lucky that Jamie finally agreed to help me. We talked about the importance of movement and diet and, of course, a good trim.

Before picking up their hooves he always has a conversation with them and from day 1 they loved him. He is respectful of everyone whether they wiggle around or aren't able to lift a hoof, he will be caring and gentle and never show frustration.

Not only has he corrected their trims, he has been an incredible mentor. He teaches and guides me without any effort, showing me something new every trim. I now have the confidence with my nippers and knives to lift up any hoof. Jamie is one of a kind, a true craftsman and all around pleasure to have around my farm.
