Ty Bowell
I am glad to have this opportunity to recognize our farrier Ty Bowell.
Ty has been our farrier for nearly 25 years and has never let us down. He is very dedicated and is always responsive to calls for help between regular visits. These have mostly been related to founder issues, and Ty has always been able to provide relief by quickly locating and draining the abscess. Ty has been able to manage our problem horses over the years with his skills and knowledge of corrective shoeing and other creative techniques, as well as giving excellent advice on treatment and products that have helped keep them comfortable, improved their quality of life and extend the time we’ve had to enjoy them. We trust his judgment when making decisions regarding their care.
Ty also maintains a professional working relationship with his clients' veterinarians, often meeting with them to evaluate radiographs and discuss treatment strategies.
We have used numerous veterinarians over the years and without fail one of the first questions they ask is, “Who’s your farrier? He does a really nice job.” Whenever I hear that, I smile and say, “Ty Bowell, he is the best!”
