Christine Taylor
It's taken 2 years to correct my horse’s feet, which Christine has been successful at accomplishing. She is extremely tenacious about everything she does and constantly educates herself in regards to equine feet and overall health.
My horse’s feet were at such incorrect angles and without any heel at all. Today, her feet are completely transformed. I am very grateful for all the time and energy Christine has put into putting us on a path to recovery.

Christine Taylor has been trimming my 16-year-old Oldenburg mare for 21 months and has essentially been instrumental in returning her to soundness. My mare is now barefoot, and I use Easy Boots to ride her (dressage, trail riding, etc.) as she is still thin-soled (we think its genetic at this point). I had a farrier working with my horse for about 7 years prior to Christine working with her and he used a "belly shoe" for years on her.
At age 13 she fell apart. She had inflamed hind suspensory ligaments, a very tense body overall and an intermittent "hop" on her front right. I tried rest and other therapies for about 1-1/2 years before ultimately deciding to have my vet perform suspensory surgery on her. My farrier’s solution to the inflamed suspensory ligaments was to keep elevating her feet via wedges, etc. When I pulled her shoes before surgery, one front foot was elevated 4 degrees and the other 6 degrees; a completely unnatural stance for any horse, let alone one that was suffering from suspensory inflammation. My gut told me it was all wrong.
Long story short, I pulled her shoes in September 2012. She had surgery in early November and was under saddle walking in January 2013. Today, she is doing great and is much more relaxed throughout her entire body and is sound. I X-ray her feet every 15 months. Christine's approach and work is very thorough, and accurate. I wish I had gone this route sooner, but we learn as we go!
