Are you a farrier who turns everyday tools into impressive works of art? Enter the American Farriers Journal Best Farrier Art Contest 2025 and share your creativity with the farrier community! (Submissions can also be made on behalf of farriers.)
Over the years, we’ve seen numerous examples of projects created by many farriers who like to try their hand at tackling ornamental forging and creating unique sculptures and other items out of horseshoes, nails and other footcare related items. As a result, American Farriers Journal is excited to launch a contest that shows off some of the unique projects put together with horseshoes, nails and old farrier tools.
Submitted entries will be showcased online, where American Farriers Journal readers will view photos of your art and vote to determine the winner.

Qualifications & Eligibility:
- Artwork must be created by a practicing or retired farrier.
- Artwork must be created out of footcare related items such as horseshoes, nails, old farrier tools, etc.

How to Enter
- Capture Your Art: Photograph your finished farrier art project. From forged sculptures to creative designs made with horseshoes, nails and other foot-care related items, let your craftsmanship speak for itself!
- Tell Their Story: Write a brief description of your piece. Share what inspired the project, how you created it and what makes it stand out.
- Submit Your Entry: Fill out the online nomination form below by Sunday, November 2.
How the Winner is Selected
After the submission period closes, online voting will open on November 3. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite farrier art by selecting their top choice on our official contest webpage. Voting will remain open until November 17. The entry with the most votes will be named the “Best Farrier Art 2025,” announced on November 19, and the farrier who created will be honored at the 2026 International Hoof-Care Summit.
