Jeff Allen

I would like to nominate my farrier and beloved son in-law, Jeff Allen of Prescott, Mich. He is also the past president of Michigan Horseshoer Association. Jeff and his wife, Noel, are partners in the Lazy A Ranch where Noel is the trainer and Jeff is the technical support. He has been involved in education efforts in Michigan, international contesting, handcrafting custom shoes, travelling with the local equine vet, Dr. Scott Smith of West Branch Veterinary Clinic, and owner/client enlightenment.

Jeff’s devotion to the welfare of his equine clients has carried over to all his family. I am sending the attachment picture of Jeff's shop and his young son, Stonewall (named for the General and the farrier trailer maker). Stonewall is 3 years old at the time of this photo, but there is a set of child-size tools at all times. I have pictures of his 2-year-old daughter testing out the anvil as well! That is dedication.
