Dave has been not only been my farrier for the last 20-plus years, I also gained him as a step-dad 2 years ago. There were times growing up he would drive to the barn to trim the horses and certain horses wouldn't need their hooves trimmed and he wouldn’t bill us a dime. (Despite our attempt to get him to take some sort of payment). Your horse threw a shoe last minute before a show? He was there to fix it. Those are just a few examples of what a great farrier he is. Dave is probably one of the most genuine and selfless people I know and certainly deserves to be recognized this week.
