Glenn Brewer (Locktown, N.J.)

When I got my first pony 42 years ago, I was told to try Glen Brewer, a young farrier. Glen has seen us through five horses, as well as the original pony. Since we have Paso Finos, it was a learning experience for all of us.

Now funny but not so much at the moment, my first Paso apparently never had shoes before Glenn. Trim done, shoe nailed on, nails protruding, then up in the air goes Mac! Flailing the knife edges as he went. Our friend Don was watching and grabbed the horse around his neck. We all yelled, “Let Go!” to Don. This happened only once in the entire 22 years Mac was with us. Glenn only does trims for our retired Pasos, now.

Glen does fox hunting horses, trail horses and driving horses. He is versatile and keeps a schedule better than some other farriers.

Trust is the word that I would use for Glenn. Always honest and an all around great guy.
