Every farrier knows their rig isn't just a vehicle — it’s your office, your forge, and your workshop on the road. You’ve spent countless hours customizing it, organizing it, and tweaking it to perfection. Now, it’s time to show it off to the entire hoof-care community!

American Farriers Journal is looking for the most efficient, innovative, and organized mobile rigs in the industry. Whether you’re working out of a fully loaded trailer, a tricked-out flatbed, or a meticulously organized SUV, we want to see how you roll.

  • The Micro-Rig Masterpiece: Best use of limited space (Vans, SUVs, Compacts, Motorcycles).

  • The Innovation Award: Most creative DIY mobile work station.

  • A winner will be chosen for each category. If your rig takes the top spot, you’ll receive:

    • Free 4-Day Registration to the 2027 International Hoof-Care Summit in Covington, Ky. (Jan. 26-29, 2027).

    • Official Recognition on stage at the Summit in front of your peers.

    • An Exclusive Award Plaque to proudly display in your winning rig or shop.

    • The Spotlight: A featured video interview and dedicated article on americanfarriers.com showcasing your rig to the world.

How to Enter:

  1. Snap your shots: Take up to 5 photos of your rig. We want to see the overall setup, your anvil/forge placement, your inventory layout, and your favorite custom feature. (Bonus points for a quick 60-second video walkthrough!)

  2. Tell us your secret: Give us a brief breakdown of what makes your rig unique, your favorite modification, or how your layout saves your back during a long day of shoeing.

  3. Submit: Send your entries to the form linked below by 10/04/26.

 Judge's Tip: We aren't just looking for the newest, most expensive trucks. We are looking for workflow efficiency, clever organization, and innovation. Clean out your mobile workstation and show us how you work smarter!

How the Winner is Selected: 

After the submission period closes, online voting will open on October 11. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite farrier rig's by selecting their top choice on our official contest webpage. Voting will remain open until October 25. The rig's with the most votes in each category will be named the “Best Farrier Rig,” announced on November 1, and honored at the 2027 International Hoof-Care Summit.
