How do I register for the International Hoof-Care Summit?

There are five easy ways to register to attend all 4 days of the 2019 International Hoof-Care Summit:

What if I only want to attend for one day or for the Trade Show only?

If you wish to only attend part of the Summit you can purchase a 1-Day Pass which gives you access to all educational sessions and entry into the Trade Show. If you are coming to attend the Trade Show only, you can purchase a Trade Show pass which gives you access to any and all of the 3 Trade Show sessions that will be held during the event. Purchase a 1-day or Trade Show-only at the Summit registration desk or calling (262) 432-0388 or (866) 839-8455.

What is all included with my Summit registration?

Your 4-day Summit registration includes access to all educational and Trade Show sessions that will occur during the Summit. As part of your registration you will also receive a free subscription to American Farriers Journal and several other free "attendee bonuses" which will be announced soon.

If I already subscribe to American Farriers Journal, do I still get the free 1-year subscription with my registration?

Yes, your free subscription will be added to your current subscription to extend your subscription term.

How do I make a hotel reservation for the International Hoof-Care Summit?

Book your room at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza online or by calling 513-421-9100 or 800-445-8667 (toll-free) and mentioning the code "IHCS" to get the special room rate of $128 per night.

Do apprentices and hoof-care students receive a discounted registration rate?

If a farrier is attending the International Hoof-Care Summit, your apprentice can register for only $199.50 — a 51% savings off the full registration price. This offer also is valid for current attendees of a hoof-care school, veterinary student program or veterinary technician program. In order to register as an apprentice or student you must provide the name and contact information of the farrier you are apprenticing under or instructor and school. Students and apprentices may register by calling (866) 839-8455. 

How many times can I attend the International Hoof-Care Summit with the apprentice/student discount rate?

This discount offer is valid only once as an apprentice and once as a student.

How far is the host Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza and Hyatt Regency Cincinnati from the Duke Energy Convention Center?

The Duke Energy Convention Center is at 525 Elm St. and conveniently located across the intersection of Elm and 5th streets from the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, which is at 151 W. 5th St. The Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, at 35 W. 5th St., also is conveniently located just two blocks east of the Duke Energy Center. Where can I find parking at the Duke Energy Convention Center?

The Duke Energy Convention Center has several surface lots and parking structures surrounding it. A detailed parking map can be found here and additional downtown Cincinnati parking information can be found here.

Where can I find parking at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza and Hyatt Regency Cincinnati?

Valet Parking:

Hotel valet parking is $28 overnight and until 3pm on checkout day. Complimentary in and out privileges are included with the exception of departure day, where there is a $10 re-park charge each time the car is brought around.  The clearance into hotel valet is 6’6”. 

For day attendees, day parking is $18.

Self-Parking Adjacent to Hotel:

Mabley Place Garage is a self-parking garage with a 24/7 automated pay station offering rate of $1 per 20 minutes or a flat rate of $18 after 8 hours. The structure is attached to the hotel and does not offer in/out privileges. The clearance is 6'8".

Can my spouse attend the sessions with me without being a registered attendee?

Yes, as long as your spouse is not a hoof-care practitioner.

Can I register for next year’s International Hoof-Care Summit while attending this year’s event?

Absolutely! You can register onsite and take advantage of the special Super Early Bird Rate and save $104 on your 2020 Summit registration. Please visit the registration area Tuesday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 25, in the Duke Energy Convention Center.

Who is speaking and when?

The 2019 Speaker Program is currently being developed. In the meantime, download the 2018 conference program to get an idea of the quality of topics and speakers and the agenda format for the 2019 Summit. View the 2018 Summit program now.

When and where will the International Hoof-Care Summit Trade Show take place?

You can get your first glimpse of all of the new products for 2019 and talk one-on-one with company experts during three, 3-hour Trade Show sessions. Trade Show hours will be announced soon.

If I’m a veterinarian, veterinary technician, British farrier or a member of the American and Canadian Association of Professional Farriers, can I earn continuing education credits?

Continuing education credit approvals for the 2019 event will be announced soon. The 2018 Summit was approved for 27 CE credits by the American Association of Professional Farriers/ International Association of Professional Farriers. AAPF/IAPF CE hours will be automatically applied to your AAPF/IAPF profile after the 2018 IHCS.

There are no CE credits offered through RACE for the 2018 event. However, there are a total of 30 CE credits given from the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board. For a full listing of eligible sessions, click here. Veterinarians and veterinary technicians should check with their local licensing board to see if credits will reciprocate.

Where can I eat?

There are a number of excellent restaurants in the Queen City that surround the Summit venues.

You may purchase lunch inside the Duke Energy Convention Center and take advantage of the valuable networking possibilities in the registration area or the trade show.

Are notepads and pens provided for taking notes during sessions?

There is a note section in your International Hoof-Care Summit program to record all of the valuable information that you will glean from these 4 days of footcare education. The American and Canadian Associations of Professional Farriers has generously provided pens that can be found at the registration desk.
