Another Year, Another Record Crowd To Improve Equine Footcare At The International Hoof-Care Summit

Each year, the International Hoof-Care Summit continues to grow and 2016 is no exception.

A record 1,137 footcare practitioners from 18 countries attended the world’s largest equine hoof-care conference and trade show from Feb. 2-5 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Attendees were treated to 4 days of intense footcare education to continue “Working Together For Healthy Hooves.”

They participated in 8 General Sessions, 15 Hoof-Care Classrooms, 24 Hoof-Care Roundtables and 21 How-To Clinics. In addition, attendees had 9½ uninterrupted hours at the Trade Show, featuring 133 exhibitors housing 190 booths.

“When we come to the Summit, we all get to take something home,” Hall Of Fame equine veterinarian Amy Rucker told attendees in a rousing motivational speech to close the conference. “I’m taking home a lot of notes from all the lectures to implement in our daily practice. More importantly, in all of the talks, they tried to add science and take measurements. They are experts giving their opinions and showing how they arrived at their conclusions.”

Take a look at a collection of images from this year’s Summit.
