Anvil Brand Becomes Major Player In ANvil Business

With the recent acquisition of J.H.M. Manufacturing Co. of Peaster, Texas, Anvil Brand Shoe Co. of Lexington, Ill., has become a manufacturer of anvils, vises and several other farrier products.

“Our pursuit of John Marino’s company has culminated in the purchase of his business,” says Anvil Brand president Steve Hoselton. “John is now ready to enjoy some time with his wife, Marsha, and the rest of his family. He will work with us in a consulting capacity to make certain we continue to produce the highest quality anvils made in America.”

While the anvils will continue to be cast in the same Texas foundry, Marino will teach the staff of Anvil Brand’s machining company, H&H Machining, Inc., the proprietary methods for finishing these world-class anvils. The entire anvil line will still be available, including the Mario Journeyman anvil with the square heel that has proven ideal for shoeing competitions.
