This may be the final time that the Calgary Stampede will host the World Championship Blacksmiths’ Competition (WCBC), so here’s your chance to be part of its history.

All farriers are welcome to participate in the Calgary Mail-In Forging Exercise, sponsored by Delta Mustad Hoofcare Center and American 

Farriers Journal. This year’s challenge is a sidebone horseshoe — a fun and practical shoe to make that will provide a learning experience and improve your forging skills. 

By entering this competition, you will receive a free commemorative T-shirt and your choice of three Farrier Classics books. After three WCBC competitors judge the entries, the overall winner will receive a belt buckle. It is free to enter this contest.
