Seventh Annual National Farriers Week Offers Well-Deserved Recognition of the Shoeing Industry

By the time July hits, odds are that you’ve been working long hours at a fast pace since spring. And now isn’t the time to slow down or take a vacation. This is the time of year when you make your money. Appointments are piling up, shoes are being thrown, the cell phone is ringing, bugs are biting and the sweat is pouring in the summer heat.

Even though you’re busy and clients are demanding your time and attention, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t appreciated. For the seventh year in a row, American Farriers Journal is proud to sponsor National Farriers Week, from July 11 to 17. This week-long celebration of farriery encourages everyone in the equine industry to pause momentarily and take notice of all the hard work, dedication, long hours, sacrificing of the body and noble work that farriers perform on a daily basis.

Reflecting On The Profession

The staff at American Farriers Journal is issuing news releases in advance of the seventh annual National Farriers Week to help both the horse community and the general public understand the valuable roles played by horseshoers. While the farrier may not always be front-and-center in all horse owners’ minds, the smart owners know and appreciate what a dedicated and knowledgeable farrier brings to both their lives and those of horses. They know the truth in the words, “no hoof, no horse.”
