  • Oleo Acres Farrier Supply, Inc., announced that they have added “Blacksmith” to their name. They have also introduced a new logo. Oleo Acres refreshed their company name and logo as part of the reinvention process they have been putting in place in their stores for the past year and a half.
  • The Butler Professional Farrier School in Crawford, Neb., received the 2018 Third District Excellence in Economic Development award from Congressman Adrian Smith.
  • BioZyme Inc. appointed Ashley Fitzsimmons of Perry, Okla., as their Regional & Partners in Performance Marketing Manager.
  • Boehringer Ingelheim is promoting laminitis awareness in the United Kingdom by encouraging veterinary practices to talk with horse owners about the disease. It is also extending the life of Talk About Laminitis to promote awareness, provide resources to owners and offer free blood tests to detect Cushing’s disease.
  • Texas Tech’s decision to create a school of veterinary medicine has received criticism from Texas A&M University. Texas A&M is concerned that a second veterinary school would be an inefficient use of state funds. Texas Tech believes that a second school will accommodate a greater number of students and send more vets into rural settings.

 

TPFA And OFA Announce Second Annual Trailer Drawing

The Texas Professional Farriers Association and the Oklahoma Farriers Association are holding the second annual drawing to benefit their Injured and Disabled Farriers Funds. A fully stocked Stonewell Bodies Middi Horseshoeing trailer worth more than $20,000 is the grand prize.
