I am not sure if belt sander attachments can be added to already existing bench grinders; however, belt sander/grinder combinations can be purchased if you chose to go that route. I have a "Jet" belt sander/grinder combination that I like a lot. The belt is a two inch belt and the grinder is a six inch wheel. Works great. Any hardware store that carries Jet equipment should be able to get it for you.

I was just breezing through the May/June issue of the American Farriers Journal (page 52) and looking at new products from the most recent AFA convention and saw a listing from Halverson Supply for a quick change belt and disc sander. Looks like it may be exactly what you are looking for.
