Abcessing can cause the leg to inflame and swell.

Anna,

If the thrush is in the frog area, and it becomes bad enought to compromise the area, then opportunist bacteria, foreign objects, etc. can cause abscessing, although less common.  These tend to be subsolar or frog abscess.  If the thrush is in the white line area, then we tend to call this seedy toe and abscessing is more likely.

thanks, they just got him and he was neglected and has thrush bad in frogs and also in white line but worse in frog
